Brown Sugar Brownies

I came across this recipe in my new Gooseberry Patch cookbook, Gifts from the Kitchen. It tastes just like a cookie in the style of a brownie. Wonderful to have warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or with an ice cold glass of milk. The only thing I did different with the recipe is that I used NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Holiday Morsels instead of regular chocolate chip morsels. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think! Ingredients:

2/3 cup butter, softened
2 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12-oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine butter and brown sugar; beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, just until blended. Beat in vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in chocolate chips; spoon batter into a greased 13″x9″ baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
